Payroll Administrator
Job Description
Summary: The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all Pack Members within the organization are paid accurately and on time. This includes full-cycle payroll processing for over 12,000 employees across multiple states, as well as maintaining and updating payroll procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely, accurate multi-state, full-cycle payroll processing for assigned lodges
- Accountable for importing and balancing timekeeping information and adjustments
- Communicate with department directors on timekeeping edits and approvals -- reviews timesheets on an ongoing basis to ensure timely completion of payroll processing
- Work closely with lodge Human Resources and Finance teams
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Process payroll journal entry file, wage attachments, and tax documents
- Provide ad hoc reports as requested
- Accept cross training duties with payroll team
- Assist with preparing and providing information for audits and auditor inquiries
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Continuously improve, appropriately document, and effectively follow work processes
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment
- Demonstrated ability to execute accurate data entry in a high volume, fast paced and changing environment
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity
- Strong customer service mindset and attitude
- Demonstrated intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and desire for advancing the organization
- Ability and willingness to work flexible work hours to ensure payroll deadlines are met
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ultimate Software (UKG/Ultipro)
- Familiarity with workforce/labor management systems
- Strong team-oriented, collaborative mindset
- Open and direct communication style
Estimated Salary Range:
$30 - $34/hr (This is an hourly, non-exempt position)
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
