Job Description

Summary: As a Lodge Accountant, you’ll be a key part of our Chicago-based Shared Services Accounting team. You’ll handle core accounting processes, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support month-end close activities. Responsibilities: 

  • Support monthly general ledger close activities in coordination with fellow accountants
  • Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure proper cut-off and financial treatment of assigned accounts
  • Coordinate with members of finance at the various locations to ensure accurate reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and reporting schedules
  • Compile audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with monthly variance (flux) analysis and financial reviews
  • Use accounting software and Excel to analyze, summarize, and report financial data
  • Coordinate accounting matters across departments and lodge locations
  • Provide general support for various accounting projects as needed


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros)
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work from our Chicago Corporate Headquarters on a hybrid-remote work schedule (M/F optional work from home and T/W/TH in-office)

  • CPA or active pursuit of CPA license


Estimated Salary Range:

$75,000 - $80,000 annual base salary

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
